watchful eye of head coach John Gagliardi; the Johnnies have posted a record of
419-114-10, a .782 winning percentage during his tenure. As he begins his 59th
season as a collegiate head football coach and his 55th at St. John\'s on opening day
of the 2007 season, Gagliardi shows no signs that retirement is a plan for the near
future. Along the way the Johnnies have won 4 national championships and 28
conference titles. Gagliardi has the record for the most wins of any college
football coach at 443 and is the first active head coach to be inducted into the
College Football Hall of Fame, with the class of 2006.
